Did you know that the HSE have been conducting spot checks and inspections on workplaces during the Coronavirus pandemic? These unannounced on the spot visits are to make sure that businesses are following the government guidelines on being COVID-secure.

Making your Workplace COVID-Secure

As the second National lockdown comes to an end this week and the three-tiers come back in to place, it’s imperative that you continue to follow all of the government guidelines and ensure your workplace is COVID-secure.

RISK ASSESSMENT

If you haven’t already done so, you should start by updating your risk assessment to manage the risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) in your business. This will help you to understand what you should do to work safely and protect people.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

Where possible, you should keep people 2 metres apart. If this is not viable, keeping 1 metre apart with risk mitigation is acceptable.

CLEANING, HYGIENE & HANDWASHING

Keeping your workplace clean and frequent handwashing reduces the potential for coronavirus to spread. It is a critical part of making and keeping your business COVID-secure.
